Good news coming for Microsoft. From the sales reports in the first week of release of their latest operating systems, namely Windows 7, the figure is quite satisfactory.
Recorded, in the first week of sales, Windows 7 sold 234 percent more than the sales of Windows Vista in the first week after launch.
However, the sales statistics for the operating system comes with a less happy news, especially for hardware manufacturers. Computer hardware sales remain unaffected. But at least, the early success of Windows 7 is a positive result for Microsoft who want to erase bad memories of going Windows Vista.
As VIVAnews quoted from PCWorld, 9 November 2009, Windows Vista is facing various trials, both in the operating system itself, nor the criticism and negative views of the user. However, the operating system market, Windows Vista still has 19 percent of users, especially in the desktop computer segment.
Regardless of whether the user's likes and dislikes of Windows Vista, the hardware that they have enough to run the Windows operating system 7.
This certainly is good news for Windows 7. Because, unlike the transition from Windows XP to Windows Vista, users will need to upgrade their hardware in order to be able to run more operating systems with the new full functionality.
On the other hand, does not need to exchange hardware for users who want to upgrade the operating system is not good news for hardware manufacturers.
