"Digital and social media techniques have demonstrated results at scale across a range of major business objectives, from product awareness to customer service, and emerging media and technology will only continue to create valuable new channels for communicating with consumers," said Porter Novelli's President Anthony Viceroy, to whom Mirsky will report. "Israel brings to Porter Novelli a deep understanding of digital media, and he will be instrumental in helping the agency shape the future of brand-consumer interaction."
Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Mirsky served as director of marketing at [x+1], a leading predictive optimization firm specializing in identifying high value customers and delivering them relevant content. Before that he was chief strategy officer for NOM, managing and executing successful online marketing campaigns involving micro-sharing, social aggregation, social media and digital word-of-mouth for clients including ELF Cosmetics and Motorola. He began his career in digital commercial production at Advanced Media Ventures Group and Granada America.
"Today, effective communications take place in the sweet spot that unites traditional, social and digital media, and Porter Novelli is truly at the forefront of facilitating those interactions," said Mirsky. "I am excited to join a team of pioneers who are continually looking for the next and most effective way to engage in meaningful dialogue with consumers, no matter what the digital forum, and I am looking forward to helping Porter Novelli's clients develop richer and deeper engagement with consumers."
He earned a B.A. and a B.S. in English and computer science from Williams College.
