SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Verizon Wireless announced a new program that gives San Francisco’s vibrant coffee shop community free access to exclusive concerts by local talent. The Verizon Wireless Coffee Shop Series will also showcase the latest technology, including the Verizon Wireless MiFi™ 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot and the newest 3G smartphones.
The performance series will include The Dodos, an indie rock band known for playing multiple and uncommon instruments live on stage, and Port O’Brien, an Oakland-area band that combines acoustic, folk and indie rock. The concerts will take place in two different San Francisco theaters, each representing a specific coffee shop partner.
The first 25 fans at each show who donate their old wireless phones for recycling by Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine® program will have the chance to be seated in the VIP section. HopeLine is Verizon Wireless’ phone recycling and re-use program that supports domestic violence prevention agencies, including more than 20 organizations in the Bay Area. For more information about the HopeLine program, visit www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline.
