The Taiwan-based company expects second-quarter results to match guidance released in April, which is a 5% decrease to 2% rise sequentially in revenues, the company said, adding that orders for May and June are about the same at the moment.
Mediatek's April revenues reached NT$12.05 billion.
For May and June, Mediatek is projected to post NT$10.5 billion and NT$9.5 billion, respectively, according to market watchers. Though in line with internal and external forecasts and seasonal effects, two consecutive months of sales decline could still impact stock performance.
The European credit crisis has had limited effect on Mediatek thus far, and only shipments for southern Europe saw a modest drop, the company said.
