Copy DNA to Create Artificial Humans

Saturday, May 29, 2010

Group of scientists of the United States performed with the innovation that is surprising the world because they are planning to create artificial humans. Some people question the motivation of scientists to create artificial humans. One group supports the name of knowledge, and they can not wait to see results. While some researchers call this plan as "one of the most advanced project in the history of knowledge".

It's only a handful of views and responses. Of course there are still some people or groups who choose a pro or con with certain considerations. When people react to and debate, a group of scientists led molecular biologist Craig Venter just kept going, and they remain in the original plan. Craig Venter and his team introduced the synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) latest. Tues regarded as a copy of this DNA to create artificial humans.

Quite difficult to explain the type and function of this DNA, and DNA will be incorporated into the nucleus of living cells that contain microorganisms semi-synthesis. Craig has not been able to describe in detail about the outcome of its latest projects. For the time being, all humans can only fantasize about this imitation. Some scientists suppose could about the human clone. "Like the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park or Frankenstein," said an expert in molecular biology from Vanderbilt University in which Dr. Anthony Forster.

"Genomic synthesis," as Anthony calls the project undertaken by a team of Craig Venter. He was proud that Craig's team can create a copy of which is owned chemical on the human genome. "This project is one proof of the resurrection of knowledge innovation," said Anthony Forster. Ready humans with innovations like this? Each person is entitled to cast their respective answers. Certainly, U.S. President Barack Obama has ordered the commission of biotechnology to browse this synthesis project.

They were asked to report results at least six months. Obama wants to ensure this project is good for the advancement of science. However, what is being done team Craig is a great project, and it involves real human existence. The next question is it necessary supervision of Craig Vanter teamwork? Necessarily need even a little late. As stated by Executive Director Pat Mooney ETC, "There is no single oversight since the project began." Supervision increasingly difficult to do because there are no laws that govern such projects are underway Vanter Craig team.

Atlantis aircraft was sold because NASA did not have enough money and a place to care for such aircraft. NASA also is now offering the Atlantis to the museum and anyone who wants to have a plane. Around 20 museums and institutions of different countries have already expressed interest in Atlantis.

Institution such as the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City, and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. "We do not sell it in the near future, remember that. We must clean up and make it comfortable first," said NASA spokesman. NASA had planned to place the Discovery of the oldest aircraft in the Smithsonian. Museum becomes 'vacation home' for a number of spacecraft such as Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.

There are several requirements that NASA must meet if you are interested to own a Atlantis. In addition to providing transportation to the destination location, the buyer also have to build adequate facilities such as adequate space with controlled temperature. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the museum has offered to Atlantis. They hope to attract visitors doubled when Atlantis was in their place.

Each year, the museum was visited by approximately 1.5 million people. "Our visitors come from various countries. When they saw the spacecraft, they saw the plane pieces of pieces to be emotionally" said Bill Moore, chief operating officer operating the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Although the United States ensure the Atlantis mission will be terminated from this year but they insisted long before the plane actually enter the museum because the plane was put up for rescue mission astronauts.

Mobile Data Traffic to Get a Big Leap than Voice Traffic

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Shift in the use of mobile phones are now beginning to be felt throughout the world, the evidence from a survey conducted Ericsson has changed the use of these wireless communication devices. Users not only use the phone solely for the call or send short messages. Ericsson is a provider of enterprise telecommunications infrastructure network of the world, during the last two years of data traffic jumped sharply enough. The use of mobile data during these two years off of 280 percent.

Described Hans Vestberg CEO of Ericsson at the CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, United States, the current voice traffic only produce as much as 140 terabytes of data a month. Data traffic, of course, is greater than that, though reluctant to disclose Hans in detail. "It is the latest milestone for the mobile internet users. 4.6 billion users of mobile devices, broadband internet users reached 400 million," explained Hans.

Although not reveal the details, but the data may be an indication Ericsson telecom industry margin data traffic that was getting a big leap than voice traffic. "It's currently the voice traffic is still dominant, but that's because the data capacity already exceeds the limit. If, 4G or LTE has been adopted, then the problem can be overcome," said Hans.

Accurate Clock to Record the Age of the Earth

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

The team of scientists in Colorado claims to have created the most accurate clock in the world. Hours are made at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the clock can record 13.7 billion year age of the Earth in four seconds. Patrick Gill, one of the scientists said they created the optical clock to monitor the trapped atoms sway aluminum atoms 27.

"At these two times more accurate than the previous version made in 2008," a high degree of accuracy is due to the atomic clock at the clock frequency is rocking on the waves of light rather than microwaves. Thus, the atoms can divide time into smaller intervals. "At this kind can help catch any small changes that occur at any time. It's just amazing," explained Gill.

Nuclear Fusion Reaction using a Laser Beam

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

U.S. scientists produce a laser beam shot with the energy level never achieved before this and become a key step toward nuclear fusion reactions, so the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration. For the first time in history, scientists are targeting one Megajoule of energy by shooting a laser beam 192 at the same time at a temperature of 111 million Celsius or 200 million Fahrenheit, so that agency in a statement.

"Making Megajoule energy makes us one step closer to burning fusion (combining nuclei reaction)," said the U.S. nuclear agency administrator, Thomas D'Agostino. "This historic milestones is an example of how our nation's national investment to produce benefit in various fields, from technological advances in the field of energy, up to a better understanding of the universe."

Nuclear fusion is a form of energy that moves the sun and the stars and into alternative energy that is potentially a clean and limitless energy to replace fossil reserves are diminished, but the conditions that must be controlled production have led scientists to examine it away. U.S. atomic agency says that in an effort to show a fusion reaction, the scientists focused on this laser into a pencil eraser-sized cylinder containing a small target containing fuel consisting of deuterium and tritium, two isotopes of hydrogen.

Laser energy is converted into X-rays, which compress the fuel until it reaches the high temperature and pressure of millions of times greater than Earth's atmospheric pressure, according to the statement. This process causes hydrogen core melt and then release the energy into the early stages to the process of nuclear fusion. In contrast, nuclear fission by splitting atomic nuclei, which requires the separation of atomic nuclei to release energy, remained opposed because of safety concerns and hazardous radioactive waste in the long term.

Stoba Technology to Prevent the Battery to Explode

Laptop Explode
Often we read cases of how the leaking battery can be hot and eventually cause a fire that must be withdrawn by the manufacturer. Fortunately, now present new technologies that can prevent a fire or explode on Li-ion batteries installed in the laptop or mobile phone. Stoba technology name, this technology was developed by Taiwanese research institute named ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), and likely will be marketed in the first quarter of next year. When Li-Ion battery shorted out, the battery temperature will quickly rise, which can reach 932 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is why the battery flammable or explosive. Stoba prevent fires or explosions by being positive and negative sides of the battery. If the battery temperature reaches 266 degrees Fahrenheit, Stoba changed from a porous material into a film and had to stop the reaction. Currently the battery manufacturer's testing Stoba. Stoba expected to be present in the market in the first quarter of 2010. Use of Stoba also expected to lead to an increase in manufacturing costs for 2 to 3 percent.

Freedom of Communication through the Internet

Obama in China"I support the view that do not restrict the use of the Internet. The more we open, the more able we are to communicate, and it also will make the world unite." U.S. President Barack Obama said it in front of students at the China Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai. Among the schedule of a busy state visit in China, President Obama have the opportunity to discuss with the young generation of China in Shanghai, Monday. Apart from the young audience which numbered several hundred people, at the Museum of Science and Technology, President of the United States also had questions over the Internet.

In addition to the medium, Obama also made the Internet as a topic of conversation. Without touching the political issues, such as Tibet, Obama encourages the free internet. Freedom of information access in this as one of universal rights, along with freedom of expression and pray, also the freedom to take part in politics. All that, according to Obama, should be enjoyed by all people, including religious minorities and ethnic diversity. From the statement quoted at the beginning of this writing it appears that Obama did not explicitly ask for China's leaders to end the controls that restrict the Internet and online social networking sites in the country.

However, what he describes in general is actually also send a message to the rulers of China. Like many reported, the Government of China is still often limit the use of the internet. It was here that looks different views. For the Government of China, the use of the Internet that contains criticism is considered dangerous, while Obama thinks the Internet is free and not obstructed a source of strength, not weakness.
