Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has chosen Europe's largest IT exhibition CeBIT 2010 to unveil Kaspersky PURE, a fundamentally new product for protecting home networks. In addition, Kaspersky Lab's next-generation security solution for mobile phones, Kaspersky Mobile Security 9, will also be on show at stand D37, Security Hall 11, from 2-6 March.
Kaspersky Lab hasn't neglected the mobile user either and will be showcasing Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 at CeBIT 2010. This product has been specifically designed to provide smartphone users with everything that they need to prevent network attacks, malware and phone-based spam from disrupting their digital lives. There's also a suite of powerful, easy-to-use tools that safeguard any personal information on a missing device by allowing the owner to locate the phone via GPS and remotely block or wipe their data, even if the SIM has been changed. To complete the package, a new privacy protection feature allows users to hide information about any contacts that they want to keep confidential.
"Our aim is to stay one step ahead of the cybercriminals, protecting users with our technologies, solutions and expertise. Cyber threats have become so widespread that they can be described as 'digital pollution' which has seeped into all areas of the digital environment and is a real threat to those digital assets that we value," says Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab. "Kaspersky PURE incorporates a unique package of state-of-the-art technologies, offering reliable protection from digital pollution of all types".
At the Press Breakfast (Tuesday, 2 March, 10:00 am), Eugene Kaspersky and Eugene Buyakin, Kaspersky Lab's COO, will discuss the Company's latest technological developments. The press conference will be held in English in Saal Berlin (Room Berlin) on the ground floor of the Convention Centre.
Also on Tuesday, 2 March, the PURE Press Breakfast will be held in the same venue (Saal Berlin/Room Berlin on the ground floor of the Convention Centre) at 11:15 am where Roger Wilson, Vice President Marketing, and Chris Hopper, Product Marketing Manager, will unveil Kaspersky PURE. The press conference will be held in English.
Kaspersky Lab will address additional topics in greater detail in two successive events on Wednesday, 3 March 2010. At 10:00 am, Sergey Nevstruev (Mobile Solutions Business Unit) will present Kaspersky Mobile Security 9 at a press breakfast (Saal/Hall 16 of the Convention Centre, Saalebene/Hall Level). Features of the new security solution include remote theft protection functionality, tools for protecting personal information and an encryption tool for securing sensitive information stored on smartphones.
Finally, a roundtable discussion from 11.15 am onwards in Saal/Hall 16 of the Convention Centre will feature virus analysts Magnus Kalkuhl, Marco Preuss, Denis Maslennikov, Marta Janus and Stefan Tanase who will be discussing likely malware trends for 2010. The discussion will be preceded by a presentation on the dangers of using social networking sites by Web 2.0 expert Stefan Tanase.
Although his "Kaukasische Schwiegermutter" (Caucasian mother-in-law) probably won't be putting in an appearance at the “Russendisko" (Russian Disco), Wladimir Kaminer himself will once again be DJ-ing with Yuriy Gurzhy at the legendary booth party. The Russendisko 5.0 will be held on Wednesday, 3 March in Halle 11 at stand D37 from 6 pm, during which time the Russendisko DJs will jazz up the atmosphere with their blend of balalaika rock'n'roll, Klezmer ska and Gypsy punk.
In addition to the media events, the following experts will be available for interviews: Eugene Kaspersky (CEO), Eugene Buyakin (COO), Natalya Kaspersky (Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Co-Founder of Kaspersky Lab, CEO InfoWatch), Andreas Lamm (Managing Director Europe), Roger Wilson (Vice President Marketing), Axel Diekmann (Managing Director Central Europe), Magnus Kalkuhl (Senior Virus Analyst), Stefan Tanase (Senior Regional Researcher), Martin Ninnemann (Director Corporate Sales Central Europe), Heiner Bredick (Director Consumer Business Central Europe), Alexey Kalgin (Director Product Marketing, Corporate Business Division), Denis Maslennikov (Senior Malware Analyst, Mobile Research Group Manager), Sergey Nevstruev (Director, Mobile Solutions Business Unit).
