MTS organized the direct addition of the networks between Russia and Armenia Tweet

The operator of MTS declared about the organization of the direct addition of networks “by MTS Russia” with the networks daughterly company in Armenia VivaCell- MTS for the transmission of data and of international vocal traffic.

As noted director MTS on interaction with the operators and development of wide-band access Eugene [Moskalev], the organization of the direct international connection of the networks of the group of companies MTS in Russia and Armenia is the continuation of the realization of strategy, directed toward the optimization of the transmission system of international traffic and the reduction of the expenditures of company. The direct addition of the networks between the companies of group MTS, which have our own international licenses, contributes to the effective use of net resources of group MTS. The direct addition of networks MTS in Russia and Armenia will allow company to save to 10% of expenditures for the landing of traffic, and to also ensure the more high quality of services to oral communication and transfer of international calls given in this direction to subscribers MTS in both countries.

MTS obtained license to the rendering of services to long-distance communication in 2006. In November 2008 company put into use the network of long-distance communication, and was also obtained the permission of the ministry of connection and mass communications RF to the assignment of services in the passage of international and interurban traffic with the use of her own network. As a result company obtained the possibility to establish direct connections with the operators in other countries. In October 2009 “MTS Russia” organized the direct exchange of the international traffic through its own boundary passage with its foreign daughterly company “MTS the Ukraine”.
