Altek obtains orders for own-brand cameraphones Tweet

Digital camera contract manufacturer Altek, which launched an own-brand cameraphone in 2009, has received handset orders for India and other overseas markets, according to the company.

Altek mostly focused the promotion of its first handset in China and Taiwan in 2009.

The Taiwan-based company will unveil a lineup of 3G devices in the second half of 2010, but has no plans to develop own-brand digital cameras to avoid conflicts with its contract manufacturing customers, Altek said.
