“As more Cricket customers gain Internet access and develop a desire to research, shop and access account information online, our web sites have become an even more important channel for the business. The new sites design enhances the user experience for our customers and for those interested in learning more about Cricket,” said Scott Edwards, chief marketing officer for Cricket. “Monthly Visits to www.MyCricket.com exceeded 2.9 million per month in November of this year and continue to grow rapidly.”
The new site design streamlines the online shopping experience from homepage to check-out. Customers are able to shop for phones using various new filters and sorting capabilities, including 360 degree views, zoom, size comparisons, price, manufacturer and features -- all aimed at replicating the in-store experience. On the Plans page, customers can easily compare Cricket’s service plan options and make the best decision that fits their need. Additionally, online chat provides users with instant access to the customer sales group to answer any questions. Once the customer has chosen a phone and plan, the revamped shopping cart allows for a faster, more user friendly checkout experience.
In addition to shopping cart experience, customers who have purchased Cricket products and service in national retail locations are able to activate that service at their convenience online, via an enhanced self–service activation process.
Cricket’s website redesign was developed using extensive customer feedback, web analytics and usability experts to improve the overall experience. Based on customer feedback, the new site features a new in-depth “Learn” section to give web visitors the information they need to make an informed wireless decision. This section details what Cricket is, what Cricket offers, why Cricket might be the best wireless solution for that visitor, as well as information about phones, accessories, plans and download features.
Finally, the redesign introduced a new “Community” section, giving visitors information about Cricket’s role in their community via partnerships with nonprofit organizations such as Rebuilding Together and local events Cricket is supporting. This section provides Cricket customers and fans a space to connect with one another, as well as the Company.
