MediaTek 1Q10 guidance remains unchanged, says paper Tweet

MediaTek has said that its guidance for the first quarter of 2010 remains unchanged, expecting its consolidated revenues to reach NT$9.5-10.5 billion (US$299.07-330.55 million) in March and NT$32 billion for the first quarter of 2010, the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted the company as indicating.

Shipments of handset chipsets by MediaTek are expected to top 130 million units in the first quarter, including 50 million units in January, 33 million units in February, and 45 million units in March, the paper quoted industry sources as saying.

MediaTek declined to reveal the actual handset chipset shipments for the first quarter, said the paper.
