WASHINGTON -- Nine executives of vendor companies for cable industry Information Technology (IT) services, and one academic, have been chosen by a selection committee of cable Chief Information Officers (CIOs) as finalists in the first-ever CIO.IT | Competition, a program of solution-based presentations scheduled for the CIO.IT program at The Cable Show 2010 in Los Angeles.
The ten finalists will participate in three panel sessions during the CIO.IT program May 11 and 12, 2010, and present their solutions to some of cable's greatest IT challenges before panels of CIO judges. The judges will select their favorite solution concept after observing the presentations.
The Cable Show 2010, NCTA's 59th Annual Convention and International Exposition, takes place May 11-13, 2010, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The finalist presentations, selected from a group of 44 applications received last month, span a variety of major issue areas for cable IT professionals, including challenges in cloud computing, data analytics, addressability, service delivery, the integration of IT and engineering data, and other topics.
