With Overdrive(TM) 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless, you can surf the web on your new iPad up to 10 times faster than 3G1; download your favorite tunes on your Zune HD in seconds; or turn your iPod Touch with Skype into a voice phone and make a call.
Not only does the Overdrive enhance everything your favorite device was built for, it also connects up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices such as your computer, game console or camera.
"When coupled with Sprint's 4G technology, any Wi-Fi-enabled device will be faster than 3G," said Matt Carter, president of Sprint 4G. "It will be six months to a year or longer before any other national wireless carrier can connect a Wi-Fi-enabled tablet like the iPad with up to four more wireless devices simultaneously at 4G speeds like the Overdrive can do today."
Currently, Sprint 4G covers 28 major markets such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Portland, Ore., San Antonio and Seattle. In 2010, Sprint will launch many more markets, and is expected to cover up to 120 million people with Sprint 4G service. Cities expected to see 4G include Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and St. Louis.View 4G coverage information for all Sprint 4G markets at www.sprint.com/4G.
