AT&T Launches New Short Code and Donates Thousands of Calling Cards to Support Military During 2010 AT&T National

Customers Can Help by Purchasing Prepaid Calling Cards via Text Message to Support Troops Overseas; Philadelphia-Area Nonprofit Organizations Benefit from Tournament.

As players tee up for the 2010 AT&T National at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa., AT&T* will help honor members of the military by providing prepaid calling cards to the men and women serving abroad. In addition, AT&T, the title sponsor of this exciting summer event for the fourth year, will provide a variety of activities for guests to enjoy while helping to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.

During the 2010 AT&T National – which runs Tuesday, June 29 through Sunday, July 4 – AT&T will contribute 2,500 prepaid calling cards to help keep military personnel connected to loved ones. At the Military Care Package Tent located at the main entrance, golfers and fans can assemble care packages that will be shipped to military serving our country in all parts of the world.

Additionally, beginning July 2, AT&T customers can support our troops through a new wireless program benefiting Cell Phones for Soldiers – a nonprofit organization that recycles donated cell phones and uses the proceeds to provide free phone cards to troops overseas. By texting** CP4S to 704, customers can donate $5 to the organization, which will go towards purchasing AT&T prepaid calling cards.

AT&T will also distribute 15,000 Cell Phones for Soldiers recycling bags throughout Aronimink Golf Club that tournament guests can take home and use to donate cell phones. Prepaid shipping labels and instructions are also available online at: http://cellphonesforsoldiers.com.

In addition, guests attending this year’s tournament can wind down at the AT&T Digital Clubhouse, where they can enjoy an air-conditioned tent with patios overlooking the 9th fairway in Independence Alley. There, qualifying AT&T customers with Wi-Fi-enabled devices can log on to AT&T Wi-Fi for fast, reliable access to e-mail, tournament information and more. Fans can also participate in the Longest Drive competition – an interactive game where players compete for the chance to win a new golf driver. And, guests can sample the latest AT&T devices and netbooks on display, and enjoy a lounge area with flat-screen televisions broadcasting AT&T | DIRECTV channels.

The 2010 AT&T National will raise funds and awareness for Philadelphia-area youth-focused organizations – The Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia and The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, as well as the Tiger Woods Foundation.
