U.S. CELLULAR ANNOUNCES RETURN OF FREE SUMMER MOVIE SERIES

Saturday, June 12, 2010

Kennewick, Wash. — Warm summer nights at Columbia Park will come alive in June and July with the return of a family-friendly series of movies sponsored by U.S. Cellular and the City of Kennewick. For the past six years, hundreds have attended the U.S. Cellular Movies on the River program in Kennewick. This year’s lineup will provide the community with four nights of free movies at Columbia Park.

“This is a great opportunity for everyone in the city to connect and enjoy a little bit of Hollywood for free,” said Kim Sebastian, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Washington. “We believe relationships are important and our associates enjoy the sense of community that comes with bringing their neighbors, family and friends together to have a good time.”

Movies start at dusk and various pre-show activities begin at 7:30 on the evenings of June 19 and 26, as well as July 10 and 31. The free movies are open to all ages and families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, along with food and drink (alcohol is not permitted) and enjoy a fun summer evening at the movies.

Below is this summer's movie lineup:

* Saturday, June 19: "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"
* Saturday, June 26: "The Tooth Fairy"
* Saturday, July 10: "Monsters vs. Aliens"
* Saturday, July 31: "Diary of a Wimpy Kid"
