MOTOBLUR offers AT&T customers a new way to connect to their favorite people, content and applications, whether it’s work or personal email, messaging or social networking. Motorola’s exclusive Android™ experience syncs contacts, posts, messages, photos and much more — from sources such as Facebook®, MySpace, Twitter®, Gmail™, Picasa, work and personal e-mail, and Last.fm — and automatically delivers them to live widgets for immediate reply, right from the home screen. And, for customers who prefer multi-tasking, AT&T’s 3G network offers the added advantage of talking and surfing the Web and accessing applications at the same time.

BACKFLIP features a unique form-factor with an original reverse flip design, spacious keyboard and BACKTRACK™ touch panel, allowing the display to be hands-free while one’s fingers work behind the screen. BACKFLIP runs on the nation’s fastest 3G network and is powered by MOTOBLUR™, Motorola’s Android-powered content delivery service created to make phones more personal and socially smart. Miami Jewish Health Systems Enhances Quality of Patient Care and Workforce Productivity with Motorola Wireless Network

Motorola’s 802.11n wireless LAN and AirDefense solutions deliver cost-effective, reliable and secure network coverage at the point of care.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – The Enterprise Mobility Solutions business of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) announced that Agilysys, a leading provider of innovative IT solutions and Motorola Premiere Solution Partner, will deploy Motorola’s HIPAA-compliant end-to-end wireless LAN (WLAN) and AirDefense solutions at Miami Jewish Health Systems to support current and future mobility initiatives.

Miami Jewish Health Systems is one of the largest and most comprehensive health care facilities in southeast Florida, treating 3,700 people daily through on-campus medical, residential and community programs. About 3,000 of these patients currently receive care through programs designed to keep them out of nursing homes and functioning independently in the community.

“Our on-campus facilities are spread across twenty acres, with both indoor and outdoor locations, and we also provide healthcare services to the community. We needed a robust and scalable infrastructure that would provide reliable wireless coverage, while ensuring accurate information availability at the point of care,” said Shubho Chatterjee, Ph.D., P.E, chief information officer, Miami Jewish Health Systems. “We selected Motorola’s WLAN solution to provide mobility to current and future clinical and operational applications, and to further enhance patient care delivery and resident experience inside and outside of our various facilities.”

The 802.11n WLAN solution utilizes Motorola’s RFS7000 wireless switches, coupled with dual- and tri-radio AP-7131 and AP-5181 access points to ensure maximum indoor and outdoor wireless coverage, while supporting virtually any enterprise application, including voice and video. Motorola’s unique tri-radio 802.11n access point allows one radio to be dedicated to security and troubleshooting, while the remaining two radios provide high-speed access, thus eliminating the cost and complexity of deploying separate sensor radios, for reliable and secure healthcare deployments. In addition, Miami Jewish Health Systems has installed the industry-leading Motorola AirDefense wireless security and monitoring solution to protect against wireless security threats and help meet HIPAA compliance guidelines. The AirDefense solution provides around-the-clock proactive system monitoring and creates a safety net over the network to reduce risk of rogue attacks and to provide better tools for reporting, compliance and remote troubleshooting of the new wireless network.

“Motorola’s WLAN solution is a high-performance network that provides cost-effective, reliable and scalable wireless coverage for residents, staff and guests,” said Paul Civils, senior vice president, Agilysys. “Coupled with Motorola’s AirDefense security and network monitoring, and Agilysys managed mobility services, this solution lays a foundation for future wireless service capabilities as Miami Jewish Health Systems looks to expand.”

The Motorola infrastructure supports a variety of handheld medical devices, from mobile computers to VoIP phones, for both enterprise and clinical applications, including asset tracking and electronic medical records, designed to improve efficiencies and provide accurate information at the point of care. As care delivery becomes increasingly mobile, the Motorola network will support Miami Jewish Health Systems by expanding its wireless capabilities to reach more patients and enhance point-of-care quality and employee productivity, while offering patients and residents greater independence and confidence in its services.

“Mobility is a key goal for the healthcare industry as it looks for new and cost-effective ways to increase staff productivity, provide more accurate information to improve patient care and reduce overall costs,” said Vivian Funkhouser, principal, Global Healthcare Solutions, Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions. “With Motorola’s wireless network solution, Miami Jewish Health Systems has the right infrastructure in place to stay competitive in today’s market.”

LG MINI HOSTS "SOCIAL" EVENTS IN BARCELONA AT THE MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in mobile communications, has organized a series of spectacular events in Barcelona to coincide with the launch of its new social media-friendly LG Mini handset.

This small but mighty communication hub is designed to keep people in touch with their online friends while on the go without having to lug around a heavy computer or complicated mobile phone. During the Mobile World Congress, to be held in
Catalonia’s capital city from February 15th to 18th, LG will reach out beyond the borders of the fair itself to promote its newest, smallest and slimmest 3.2-inch touchscreen handset, LG Mini, which will be available in Europe starting in March, followed by other markets.

LG Mini Castells
On the first day of the Mobile World Congress, LG will take the tiny LG Mini to incredible heights atop a human castle (Castell in Catalan) near the city’s center. A group of well dressed businesspeople will transform into a troop of acrobatic performers
who assemble themselves into a castell – traditionally built during festivals in the Catalan region – on the Fira de Barcelona fairground.

This castell will begin as a small group and expand in size and strength, mirroring how social networks grow. Topping the castell will be a small boy holding the LG Mini and capturing the whole scene on the handset’s video camera to be shared on LG’s blogs and social network pages.

"The Catalonian castell represents connectivity, one of the key attributes of the small but powerful LG Mini," said Pablo Vidal, Chief Marketing Officer of LG Spain. “This phone is a pocket-size communication hub designed for people who want to
communicate faster and have easier access to the internet and social networks wherever they are, even atop a human castle.”

LG will organize other castells throughout the city during the Mobile World Congress. These will be announced in advance on LG’s blog at www.lgblog.es and on LG’s social network pages.

LG Mini follows you and your friends wherever you go
With another attention-grabbing event, called LG Mini Follows Me, 100 people – about the size of an average person’s online social network – will follow around one person carrying an LG Mini. The group will traverse the city travelling on the subway, stopping in restaurants and capping off the day with a drink on the terrace. LG will create a video showcasing how this LG Mini owner spent the day surrounded by friends. These videos will be shared on the LG blog and websites like YouTube and Facebook.

LG’s Mini Cars Transport Trade Fair Attendees in Style
To promote LG Mini’s “Small and Mighty” spirit, LG will shuttle mobile specialists distributors, national and international press around the Mobile World Congress using a fleet of LG Mini Cars. During their trips around the city these mobile experts will have an exclusive opportunity to test out the LG Mini before it hits the market. These LG Mini Cars will be available at the Fira de Barcelona fairground throughout the trade show.

About the LG Mini
LG Mini is the smallest and slimmest 3.2-inch full touchscreen phone, making it a perfect pocket-size communication hub for people who want to communicate faster and have easier access to the internet and social networks wherever they go. It is slimmer and more compact than any other 3.2-inch full touchscreen phone, allowing it to easily slide in a shirt pocket or small handbag. What’s more, the LG Mini is packed with popular features like speedy web browsing and fast push email. It also provides several
unique features including Social Network Connect, which makes keeping in touch with online friends even easier than on a desktop PC.

LG UNVEILS THE WORLD’S FIRST 3 WAY SYNC FEATURE PHONE AT MWC 2010

LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in mobile communications, has showcased its new LG Mini (LG GD880), the world's first feature phone to support 3-Way Sync service, at the Mobile World Congress. The mobile trade show began on the 15th of February in the Spanish city of Barcelona and will run until the 18th.

Measuring 10.6mm in depth and weighing just 99g, the LG Mini boasts an array of superb features including LG’s 3-Way Sync service, called LG Air Sync. This nextgeneration mobile technology enables users to continually sync the data on their phones
with information stored on their PCs and their browser history over a wireless network, ensuring that contents such as photos, video clips, calendars and phone books can be updated and accessed at all times. As the first feature phone to support LG Air Sync, a form of the cloud computing so far available only on smartphones, LG expects the LG Mini to generate considerable buzz on the market.

“We live in an information-oriented society with vast amounts of data and content scattered all over the place. Because of this, one of the major battles in the future mobile market is likely to be in the data management technology industry, focusing on seamless access among different devices,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We have developed the LG Mini, which offers technological integration with its unique LG Air Sync service, in response to this trend.”

In keeping tabs on users’ personal preferences and information, the LG Air Sync works in three ways. First, through the History Sync function, the phone’s browser is updated with the 100 most recent websites users visited on their PC, allowing users to return to the exact webpage where they left off. Second, through the Personal Information Manager (PIM) Sync function, contact details and daily plans in the LG Mini can be transferred to user’s PC. Even when users lose or misplace their phone, any important data will be still accessible through their PC. Finally, with the R-Click function, pictures and information on users' PCs can be transferred instantly to the LG Mini, meaning any picture on a website can become the LG Mini's wallpaper with just a simple click of the mouse.

The smallest and slimmest 3.2-inch full touchscreen phone on the market today, the LG Mini also comes with speedy web browsing and fast push email functions for even greater user convenience. Thanks to powerful SNS features, users can easily keep in touch with friends online via social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter while also getting constant updates of what their friends are up to.

With its tiny frame, the LG Mini also boasts a 5.0 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, FM radio and 7.2 Mbps HDSPA. The LG Mini will be available in Europe from March, followed by other markets.
