fring to bring rich mobile Internet communication to Intel® Atom™ processor based MeeGo* devices

fring pushes mobile Internet boundaries with fring on MeeGo*-based devices.

London, United Kingdom. fring, the popular, mobile communication application is extending its application support to the wide range of Intel® Atom™ processor based devices running the MeeGo-based software platform.

Meego is a mobile version of Linux that merges Intel's Moblin™ with Nokia's Maemo operating systems. It's designed to be used in smartphones, handheld computers, netbooks and more.

fring is one of the first mobile social communication application to launch on Intel App-UpSM Center beta for netbooks running Moblin™- based operating systems. Users with devices running Moblin 2.1 and in the future MeeGo will be able to enjoy fring's IP-based voice and chat and community by downloading fring from Intel AppUpSM Center Beta
