Whipsaw creates another extraordinary eco-efficient product.
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Whipsaw, Inc., a design firm specializing in creating innovative products for companies around the globe, announced the inclusion of their Eton FR600 radio in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Triennial: Why Design Now? exhibit, opening May 14. Whipsaw's Eton FR600 radio is an emergency radio charged via hand crank or solar panel, which works when the grid fails to function. "The Eton FR600 radio uses design to combine multiple functions into a single object. It communicates its purpose with a bold, vigorous voice," said Ellen Lupton, curator.
The exhibition asks the question "Why Design Now?" to examine why design thinking is an essential tool for solving some of today's most urgent problems and why business leaders, policy makers, and citizens should embrace design values.
"We are honored to be a part of this prestigious collection of design work. The Eton radio exemplifies our commitment and interest in addressing public, personal, and environmental well being through design," said Dan Harden, President of Whipsaw, Inc.
