CHICAGO -- Providing smart alternatives to both central HVAC and window-mounted air conditioners for hotels, LG Electronics is showcasing a range of HVAC solutions that are cost efficient, quiet and attractive at AAHOA 2010 (Booth #112). Designed to provide guests with enhanced comfort controls and hotels with advanced energy efficiency and management systems, LG HVAC products lead the industry in style and functionality.
"Hotel owners are continually looking for new ways to reduce their energy output without disturbing the guest experience or incurring extra costs," said Kelly Cutchins, vice president, Commercial Air Conditioning, LG Electronics USA, Inc. "To assist hoteliers with these needs, LG is proud to offer an ever-expanding line of commercial HVAC products that enhance guest comfort, simplify temperature controls and increase energy efficiency. From our PTAC and Multi-V lines to our advanced Environmental Control Manager, LG's products are designed with both the guest and the hotel operator in mind."
PTAC Units
Offering hotel and motel operators energy efficient solutions, LG's line of Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning (PTAC) models also feature low decibel levels and outstanding sound-prevention ratings making them a reliable choice for hoteliers who want to provide a quiet environment. These systems are available in lines of 7,200 – 14,700 BTU, delivering energy efficiency ratings (EER) from 9.0 to 11.6. Installation is easy and economical and motel operators will also appreciate that LG has introduced PTAC models with R-410A refrigerant.
Industry Leading Climate Controls
LG's versatile Multi-V line provides hotel owners more precise load-matching and simultaneous heating and cooling options throughout the building. These features are possible due to the utilization of innovative variable refrigerant flow technology that provides high efficiency at low sound levels.
LG's flexible floor standing units work with LG's Multi-V product, and are a cost-effective solution for hotel environments looking to retro-fit existing space. These duct-free floor standing indoor units feature LG's exclusive Chaos Swing with electronically controlled louvers that create air flow that is natural.
LG's Art Cool Inverter Mirror uses an advanced Inverter compressor technology, which continues to operate at low speed to maintain temperature providing quieter operation, and reduced energy output as compared to conventional systems. Another stylish HVAC option, LG's Art Cool Picture (model LAN121HNP) incorporates a picture frame design allowing it to blend with any room's decor, but also to deliver exceptional air-flow circulation.
Maintenance Solutions
LG has introduced the "Environmental Control Manager" feature in its PTAC lines – one of the most versatile energy management tools available on the market today for remote thermostat and front desk controls. With this tool, hoteliers have the convenience of complete programmability and temperature control via the Internet, from anywhere in the world. For both occupied and unoccupied rooms, the ECM saves hoteliers money and time by lowering energy consumption, operational cost and staff labor time.
Its occupancy sensor senses both motion and heat, and has the ability to control unit operation to obtain the ideal room temperature from both the owner's and the guest's perspective. The resulting energy savings can be as much as 40 percent in comparison to other LG models without this control.
LG's PTAC units offer some of the most innovative features in the industry, such as LG's Gold Fin™ Anti-corrosion treatment, which protects the coils from the corrosive effects of outside air thereby extending the operational life of the unit. A patented four-stage air purifying system features a large, permanent polymeric mesh filter and an electronic air purifier that captures microscopic contaminates like dust mites, pollen and pet fur to provide a more enjoyable environment.
