Huawei and HP Unveil iManager U2000 & TeMIP SNMP solution

Saturday, March 27, 2010

The solution will enable operators reduce the OSS integration period and lower TCO.

Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications solutions for operators around the world, and HP, successfully completed the development of SNMP-based Access Module (AM) and Inter-Operability test for the iManager U2000 and TeMIP. The two companies released the U2000-TeMIP SNMP-based pre-integration solution for network fault management and signed the inter-operability test (IOT) certificate. This release enriches the existing U2000-TeMIP pre-integration solution and providing customers with a wide variety of options that meet different applications.

As part of Huawei's All-IP convergence strategy, the iManager U2000, with advanced distributed software architecture and a carrier-class hardware platform, offers end-to-end visualized management with one-button configurations, accurate error locating, enhanced O&M efficiency, reduced resource and operational requirements by O&M engineers, greatly reduced operating expenses and accelerated time-to-market of new services. The open and standard NBIs (Northband Interface) of the U2000 accommodate multiple protocols such as MOTSI, XML, CORBA, and SNMP, and support fast integration with third-party network management systems.

Together, Huawei' s iManager U2000 and HP' s TeMIP (Telecommunications Management Information Platform) system enable operators to greatly reduce the OSS (Operation Support System) integration period and lower total cost of ownership.

Huawei and HP have worked together in the OSS field since 2005 and will continue to develop highly competitive OSS solutions with strong mutual integration capabilities in order to better serve the global operation and management requirements of the evolving network.
