Chrome Users Increased Rapidly Compared to Other Browsers

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Chrome is a browser that is quite young when compared with rival browsers. However, the growth of Chrome so fast and attracted much attention of the user. According to data released by Net Applications, the months of February and March, Google's Chrome browser has gained market share up 6.1 percent. With those results, Chrome retain position above Safari and Opera.

These results also make Chrome could cover the gap with the Mozilla Firefox is still strong with a market share of 24.1 percent. It is not impossible if Chrome will close the position with the Internet Explorer market share fell 1 percent each month. Chrome increase most likely comes from Mac users who switch from Safari, and Google has been successfully released Chrome for Mac last December. Although initially many Mac users who hate the beta version of Chrome because it has no extension or support synchronization of bookmarks.

But all the hatred that changed when a new version which was released in February. At that time, Mac users are given all the extensions or bookmarks synchronization support, with so many users choose to make the move to Chrome. Also Chrome success in taking a large share of fast because many users said that they heard Chrome faster and make a lot of users migrating from Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 vs Acer Liquid vs Motorola Milestone vs Nexus One pics

Here are some live pics comparing my Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, Acer Liquid, Motorola Milestone and Nexus One. I am still excited from getting the Sony Ericsson X10 today but here is a quick comparison between the phones. They all run android but the Nexus and Milestone are running 2.1. Surprisingly, the smoothest UI experience belongs to the Liquid (despite it being the cheapest). Designwise, I like the X10 the best...however it is the largest in size (at least surface area...well it does have a 4 inch screen). I like the screen and the camera of the X10 the best. The screen is stunning despite being only able to show 65K colors. The screen is large, bright and text is super sharp. However, the screen seems less responsive than the other phones (perhaps removing one of the 2 screen protectors will make a difference). The Milestone is the heaviest and the Liquid, the lightest. The bottom row of hardware keys is more useful than the touch keys found on the other phones. The X10 is made of black shiny plastic but it looks and feels more expensive than the Liquid while the Milestone and Nexus have metal bodies. In conclusion...what would I choose of the 4. This is a tough one...I think I would go with the Milestone for work and the X10 for general use.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 unboxing pics

Well, finally my Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has arrived. I have been anxiously waiting for this phone since it was announced and now it's finally in my possession. The box is smaller than I expected and feels a bit flimsy...not as sturdy as the Nexus One box. The phone is from Hong Kong and the contents are: phone, battery, battery cover, charger, usb cable (that also connects to the charger), 8 GB card, bass reflex stereo headset and lots of printed manuals. The phone comes preintalled with a perfectly fitted screen protector and another one on top of that. I also received a free MW600 with the phone but that has not arrived yet. The phone feels nice in the hand despite the plastic and rubberized back. It fells well built and feels light despite it's relatively big size. I found the screen responsive and I have no problems so far with unregistered taps. The screen also looks nice despite the 65K color limitation. In conclusion, I am pleased with the phone. Now, we just need root and some custom ROMS.
