If you can not beat him, then Embrace it. As soon as the saying goes. It seems this is what Microsoft's open source.

Lord of proprietary software has just confirmed his pace on the open source arena. Microsoft will sell Linux tool.

Microsoft just bought the assets associated with the Teamprise from SourceGear. This could mean that the developers are using Eclipse IDE, or operate on several operating systems, including Unix, Linux and Mac OS X, will build applications with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server.

Microsoft spokesman said, the functionality of the Teamprise Client Suite will be integrated into the Visual Studio product line, which started with Visual Studio 2010. Microsoft initially treat open source like a naughty stepchild. However, recently the company being headquartered in Redmond was softened.

S. Somasegar (Senior Vice President, Developer Division, Microsoft) said that they knew its users every day face the challenge of management, collaboration and development in diverse environments. IT industry, including Microsoft, so he said, must take steps to make interoperability happen.
