Vodafone sells 100,000 iPhones in one week

Friday, January 22, 2010

Apparently they're quite popular.

Vodafone has announced the sale of its 100,000th iPhone since it launched the device one week ago.

Though O2, Orange and Tesco Mobile all range the iPhone too, Vodafone has been marketing itself as the network with the best coverage - and at the same time pimping its signal-boosting box, Sure Signal, which uses a broadband router to improve 3G signal for mobile phones.

Vodafone UK CEO Guy Laurence said, "The demand from both consumer and business customers has been phenomenal. They want an outstanding phone on an outstanding network and we're delivering that."

Vodafone iPhone users also get access to Voda-exclusive app - People Sync, which syncs your iPhone and PC/Mac contacts and backs them all up online at Vodafone's 360 service; and Vodafone Navigation, a mobile maps app which ponies up turn by turn voice navigation.
