Sunday, June 6, 2010

A security company has warned about the bugs found on the Adobe Flash Player that can be exploited to inject and infect a computer security system. Effects there are bugs in the Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.45.2, which runs on all operating systems including including Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Rather broadly, this bug is also found in the latest version of Acrobat Reader software.

"There are reports that this vulnerability is being actively exploited in the virtual world for free on the Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe Reader and Acrobat," said a spokesman for Adobe. Recognized also by Adobe, when exploited, these bugs can cause crashes Adobe software, so it can give an attacker the opportunity to control the computer, and steal data in it.

Nevertheless, the attack was not yet widespread. However, Adobe has so far received two reports of attacks online. Researchers from Trend Micro, Paul Ferguson agreed that the attack is a new type, and does not appear to be used widely. "It's probably just a side." He saw the attack will be exploited further, although he was advised to alert the user.

But unlike the previously version, "Version 8 of Adobe Reader and Acrobat is not vulnerable to attacks, Adobe said. As it is known that Adobe Reader is free software, has become a favorite target of hackers in recent years. Malicious attacks involving PDF files, according to Symantec, now make up about nearly 50 percent of all Web-based attacks.
