Built-in graphics from Intel will be twice as fast

According to the resource Fudzilla, Intel has informed some of its most important partners that the next generation processor platforms built-in graphics adapter will be much faster. Allegedly, from Intel reported a twofold increase in performance for the generation of Sandy Bridge, in comparison with the existing architecture.

In modern platforms from Intel (Arrandale and Clarkdale) used graphics adapter Intel HD, combining the 32-nm processor with 45-nm graphics core. This is sufficient to obtain a satisfactory number of FPS in the game Call of Duty with a resolution 1024h756 pixels. At the same time in the platforms of Sandy Bridge will be used by a single print processor and graphics engine. Also, it is likely that the 32-nm graphics core of this platform will be the first in the world. However, it is worth recalling that the growth performance graphics solutions from Intel is usually not as great as that reported. In addition, ATI and Nvidia have already indicated that they plan to move to 28-nm graphics adapter.
