Cheats, Sneaks & Scoundrels Rejoice: New Service Assures Cell Phone and Text Privacy

PrivateBryan.com Service All but Eliminates the Chance of a Cheating Partner Being Betrayed by the Cell Phone.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- In what is sure to spark some controversy, a new service was launched that allows its members to conceal their text and call activity from spouses, partners and others. Called Private Bryan and available at http://www.privatebryan.com, it is a subscription service that allows users of most U.S. cell phone carriers to add a layer of protection to prevent calls and texts from arriving at the wrong time.

The cell phone has become one of the primary ways that spouses and partners discover extra-relationship affairs. Recently, some of the highest-profile celebrity breakups were sparked by careless use of text messaging. For as little as $14.99 per month, the world's greatest golfer might still be living his carefree and wild life, instead of a life of shame and repentance, while he awaits a massive hit to his personal wealth.

"It's not just Tiger Woods and Jesse James that have had their lives ruined by texting," said Bryan Galvin, founder and CEO of Private Bryan. "Our research shows that cell phones have led to 25 percent of the entire population being caught doing something wrong. Among Generation Y, that number jumps to over 50 percent. Used properly, our product puts an end to that."

The service is also more affordable and convenient than keeping a second, secret cell phone, which a Motorola study suggested at least one in ten people worldwide do.

Keeps Affairs Private

Private Bryan provides users with multi-layered protection in the following ways:

* Texts don't come in at the wrong time - innocuous news alerts are delivered to the phone until the user replies with a PIN to release the real text for delivery

* Phone numbers remain private - the member's phone number is never used as texts and calls are sent to a unique Private Bryan username

* Reply texts don't display a phone number, which further keeps the member's identity private and the texting history more difficult to attribute to a specific individual

* Calls don't come in at the wrong time - audio news alerts are delivered to the phone, which require a PIN for a direct connection

* Voicemails are left in a secure online inbox so there are no personal messages left on the phone

Perhaps the biggest benefit of the protection Private Bryan offers is the ability of users to avoid acting suspicious around their phone, which is often a dead giveaway that something is amiss. Additionally, since calls and texts are directed to a unique username rather than a traceable phone number, Private Bryan keeps the member's phone number private.

"Life is short. Because of that, there is absolutely no reason to complicate it with the pain and aggravation of getting caught having an affair," added Galvin. "If you happen to be screwing around, your phone shouldn't betray you."

How Private Texting Works

With this elegantly simple, yet completely unique service, a "side friend" sends a text through Private Bryan by entering the member's unique username before typing the message. Private Bryan sends the member a real alert from a news source that has been chosen by the member in advance, which is the signal that a private text has been received. When the coast is clear, the member simply replies to the news alert with a PIN and the private text is then forwarded to the phone. Once read, it is up to the user to be smart and delete the text from his or her phone.

How Private Calling Works

Similar to the Private Texting service, Private Calling kicks in when a "side friend" calls the Private Bryan phone system and enters the member's username. At that point, Private Bryan connects the call. If answered, the member hears a news update from a source that was chosen in advance, which is the signal that a Private Caller is waiting. To be directly connected, the member simply enters their PIN. To decline the call, he or she simply hangs up. Your friend can leave a message that will be stored online in your Private Bryan inbox.
