Samsung presented high-speed 512 Gb SSD disk on the basis of asynchronous DDR NAND of [flesh]- memory

Friday, June 18, 2010

The company Of samsung Of electronics presented the first solid-state accumulator (SSD), which uses asynchronous DDR NAND [flesh]- memory. New disk, with volume 512 Gb, from the words of company, ensures high productivity and reliability, and it is intended for the use first of all in the laptop computers of [premium] of class.

Novelty uses 32-[gigabitnye] microcircuits of [flesh]- memory NAND on the basis of the technology of the multilevel cells, prepared on the 30- nm to technical process with asynchronous DDR by interface. In this BY SSD disk is used the interface SATA of 3.0Gbps, which ensures the maximum sequential speed of reading data - to 250 [Mb]/[sek] and to 220 [Mb]/[sek] - during the record, which three times indices exceeds the indices of usual hard drives.

Company plans to begin mass production SSD on the basis of asynchronous DDR NAND of [flesh]- memory in the following month. The product rule of new disks will be represented by models from 64 to 512 Gb.
