BARCELONA, SPAIN – Mobile World Congress – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) revealed the eighth smart phone to join its Android™ portfolio, amid a product showcase at Stand 8A51, which spans entry-level feature phones to a high-end luxury collection, as well as accessories.
The QUENCH™ with MOTOBLUR™, a full touch, virtual QWERTY design, was announced as the latest device in Motorola’s growing portfolio of Android-powered devices and made its public debut at the Motorola stand alongside wider Android offerings, which include:
· BACKFLIP™ with MOTOBLUR: Unique reverse-flip design
· DEXT™: Motorola first for both Android and MOTOBLUR
· MILESTONE™: World’s first Android 2.0 device
· XT800 ZHISHANG: Dual-mode, dual-sim device featuring Android 2.0 and handwriting recognition
· MT710 ZHILING: Mobile TV and eBook experience on an OPhone
· MOTOROI™: Korea’s first Android device
· DEVOUR™: Brings MOTOBLUR to largest U.S. carrier
To celebrate day 1 of MWC 2010, Motorola also announced the launch of MILESTONE in Spain, making it the first Android 2.1 phone in this market. It will be available to consumers from mid-March.
Motorola’s highly successful WX series, a range of entry-level feature phones that offer more people the opportunity to stay connected and entertained, is also showcased at this year’s stand, including:
