China Mobile Internet Summit 2010 - Successful Close

SHANGHAI -- Hosted by China Mobile Communications Association (CMCA, http://www.china-mis.com ) and Global Leaders Institute (GLI, http://www.globaleaders.com ), China Mobile Internet 2010 Summit was held successfully on April 7th-8th 2010 in Beijing, China. This conference attracted more than 110 government departments and world-class operations related to mobile internet organizers and companies. The cooperation was enhanced among telcos globally, wireless internet service providers and mobile end equipment manufacturers seeking co-prosperity in the long and ferocious industry chain.

As the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issues 3G licenses to three main telcos, China starts a new era of mobile internet. For the second stage, mobile value-added services and innovative applications will be the focus of attention. It is a great platform. Industry experts and all the friends who focus on the mobile internet home and abroad share successful experience and exchange of information, and learn from each other so as to jointly accelerate the development of mobile internet more efficiently.

It is good to see that China Mobile Internet Summit has become a globally mobile internet summit, and provides a communication stage for operators and other industry leaders. There are around 150 attendees who participated in the summit and some key speakers gave excellent speeches, such as:

Wen Ku, Director, Science and Technology Department, who pointed out that technology creation is the key to developing mobile internet, and also that the Mobile internet industry should focus on local development. He emphasised keeping practitioners creating new operation modes.

Zhao Houling, Deputy Secretary General, ITU, whose speech topic was the globalizing trend of China's Mobile internet. There is data to conclude home-grown content and give a strong 3G market growth prospect in China as well.

Philipp Deibert, Executive Programme Manager, NGMN ALLIANCE who proposed that Mobile network rollout is driving broadband access growth.

Michael Tong, Director, Product Marketing, PRC, Motorola whose topic was 'Enterprise Mobility Strategy: Trends and Case'.

Fang Yanan, Vice President, Union Mobile Pay Ltd.

Yeong Mun Ling, VP of Business Development & Integrated Applications, Starhub whose topic was 'Mobile TV: Content on the Go'. She analysed StarHub TV on Mobile through the data and gave some examples as well.

Ma Tao, Director, International Carrier Sales Greater China Region, Deutsche Telekom International Carrier Sales & Solutions (ICSS)

"I plan to attend the next event and I also would like to see more panel discussions" -- Lu Ying, Huawei. The majority of attendees would like to attend the next event like Lu Ying and give some suggestions. All in all, with the successful close of China Mobile Internet Summit 2010, China's Mobile Internet has strong market growth prospects. Mobile Internet companies need to focus on market demand and carry out technology innovation actively to meet more and more customers' needs. It is believed that this summit was an excellent opportunity for mobile internet industry leaders to gain useful information from high level speakers.
