Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd." was the leader in both the world mobile as well as fixed softswitch markets, according to the "2009 World Softswitch Market Report" released recently by Frost & Sullivan, which is one of the famous growth consulting corporations in the world. Huawei accounted for shares of 40.6 percent and 26.5 percent in the mobile and fixed softswitch markets, respectively.

The world softswitch market is in the mature stage. Most carriers have either deployed or upgraded their core networks to softswitch architecture. Constant innovations made by main providers are likely to provide opportunities for the growth of the softswitch market in the future. Providers are developing new and creative solutions to help carriers discover the value potential of the voice market, improve the O&M of carriers' networks, upgrade their networks smoothly within the existing architecture, increase value-added business, and so on.

Huawei has been making constant innovations significantly. It is the first company in the world that releases and commercializes the new generation of softswitch in the ATCA -based system. Moreover, it develops the visualization of ALL IP and series of supplementary solutions for quality supervision of end-to-end services, which enables Huawei to help carriers to improve the reliability of network, build a better user experience, develop value-added businesses, improve operational management efficiency, and save bandwidth as well as energy.

By the end of 2009, in the mobile softswitch market, Huawei has provided products to more than 160 carriers worldwide in over 100 countries; it has served more than 1.7 billion subscribers. As a result, the company has been leading the world softswitch market for several years. In the fixed softswitch market, Huawei has successfully deployed more than 1,660 solutions in more than 90 nations worldwide. Its accumulated sales reached 182 million ports, which implies that Huawei has held the highest share in the world fixed softswitch market for five years.
