Taiwan market: NCC to issue only 1 mobile TV license by year-end 2010, say sources Tweet

Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) plans to issue only one mobile TV operating license before the end of 2010, instead of the release of two licenses as originally planned, according to market sources.

The mobile TV operating license will be released through an open competitive bid, the sources noted.

The NCC also plans to release five wireless digital TV operating licenses with the release date to be decided later, added the sources.
