Having a single speaker does mean that the maximum volume is a little distorted and being a little louder wouldn't hurt too.
The phone's vibration on the other hand is more that powerfull, in fact "aided" by the phone's mediocre build quality it will also produce a "sqweeaky" sound along with the strong feeling that leaves.
