Operator [MegaFon] and company Of onAir reached the understandings, in accordance with which OnAir will propose to megaphone the technical solution by the assignment of services to connection on the boards of the air vessels of Aeroflot. Work on the introduction of the integrated solution will begin in June 2010.

Previously joint stock company “megaphone” and joint stock company “Aeroflot - Russian air lines” concluded the agreement about the development of services to mobile connection on the air vessels of Aeroflot, beginning from the summer of 2010. The sequential agreement of megaphone from OnAir provides for the introduction of the integrated technical solution from OnAir. This development is based on the technology Of inmarsat Of swiftbroadband (SBB) and are included support of services GSM/GPRS, and also mobile Internet access in through WiFi.

The first airliners of Aeroflot, on which the megaphone will give the passengers of service to mobile connection, will rise into the sky already in this year. These will be the air vessels Of airbus Of a320 and [A]330, which transport passengers for the international directions and inside the country. In the starting stage to passengers will be proposed the services of mobile Internet access and service SMS. Additionally on the [dalnemagistralnykh] voyages it is planned to organize Internet access on the technology Of wiFi. Connection during the flight will be accessible to the clients of megaphone and to the subscribers of other Russian and foreign mobile operators, which have [roumingovye] agreements with joint stock company “megaphone”.
