U.S CELLULAR PROMOTES JEFFREY S. HOERSCH TO VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

CHICAGO - United States Cellular Corporation (NYSE: USM) has announced that Jeffrey S. Hoersch has been promoted to the new role of vice president of financial planning and analysis, effective March 31, 2010. He will report to Steven T. Campbell, executive vice president-finance and chief financial officer. The new role was created when the company combined its financial planning and strategic planning teams.

Hoersch, 43, has been with U.S. Cellular for more than 17 years. Most recently, he was senior director, financial planning and analysis. His previous roles included director of business planning and analysis for the Central Region, which consists of U.S. Cellular’s markets in Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

“Jeff is an outstanding finance executive who brings a long-term perspective on our industry and deep knowledge of our business operations to this new role,” said Campbell. ”He’s been successful as he’s grown within the company and will be a strong addition to our senior leadership team.”

Hoersch earned his MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and his bachelor of finance degree from Marquette University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

He lives in Elgin, Ill., with his wife and three children.
