Extends Lead in Cloud Computing and Gaming Arenas with Industry-changing
Eee Pad, Eee Tablet, Garmin-Asus A10 Smartphone and a Host of ROG Innovations.

ASUS’ leadership in innovation and design will once again be underlined at this year’s Computex exhibition in Taipei, where the homegrown IT giant is set to showcase a wide range of products across five major categories: cloud computing, gaming, enthusiast PC components, multimedia and green computing.

ASUS Cloud Computing Solutions: Accessing Data Anywhere and in Real Time has Never Been this Easy
As the leader in cloud computing, ASUS offers the broadest spread of cloud-connected devices with on-the-fly data and multimedia sharing capabilities that consumers need in this age of interconnectedness.

Without question the foremost cloud computing device that will be on show at Computex 2010 is the ASUS Eee Tablet, one of the world’s most accurate and sensitive digital note-taking devices. Sporting a 2450 dpi resolution touch screen, a built-in camera which takes high resolution photos that users can write notes on, and preinstalled with an assortment of notepad templates, the Eee Tablet provides students and mobile business professionals with everything they need to get through a day. The Eee Tablet also serves as an exceptionally competent e-reader, offering almost lag-free page turns and a paper-like display that allows users to read for long periods without eye fatigue. The Eee Tablet features USB and MicroSD connectivity for easy syncing with a PC.

Also set to steal the limelight is the ASUS Eee Pad, an ultra-slim and light yet high-performance slate device designed to provide users with a “real time, real life and real human” cloud computing experience. The Eee Pad is available in two configurations. The 12” Eee Pad EP121 is a full-featured slate computer that serves as a multimedia player, e-reader, compact PC and Internet device. Powered by a CULV Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor and the Windows® 7 Home Premium operating system, it handles multitasking effortlessly, enabling users to check their email and calendars, have video conferences, and process Microsoft Word and Excel documents simultaneously. The Eee Pad EP121 offers two convenient modes of character input—an embedded virtual keyboard and a special docking station-cum-keyboard—and delivers more than 10 hours of smooth, continuous computing. Users seeking added mobility can consider the 10’’ Eee Pad EP101TC, which comes in at a mere 675g and a slim, pocket-friendly 12.2mm. The Eee Pad EP101TC runs on Windows Embedded Compact 7, a complete toolkit with the latest Windows 7-based technologies and tools that create engaging user experiences and delivers connectivity to the Windows world. It provides a familiar full-featured experience across various connected devices and cloud computing services. Users will also be able to move their favorite applications to the main desktop with ease.

Frequent travelers will find it hard to leave home without the Garmin-Asus A10, an Android™ smartphone that provides users with Garmin’s premium turn-by-turn, voice-prompted navigation capabilities both while driving and on foot. It integrates Google™ Mobile Services with one-click access to Google Maps™, Gmail™, YouTube™, calendar, contacts and Android Market™, where users can find more than 30,000 applications to personalize their phone.

ASUS will also be displaying its fourth generation of Eee PCs™ at Computex, namely the 1018, 1016, and the classic Seashell 1015. These netbooks sport distinctive designs and materials—such as aluminum for the 1018 and a soft-to-the-touch matte surface for the 1015—that perfectly suit the lifestyles of their target users.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG): The Leading Choice of Champions
Committed to a wide panorama of hardcore gaming, ASUS ROG products have been the choice of gaming champions since the brand’s inception in 2006. The new ROG CG8490 gaming station is the latest and greatest gaming rig to enter into the fray, with an all-new Intel® Core™ i7-980X six-core CPU, 12GB of DDR3 memory and dual Radeon HD5870 graphics cards powering superlative DX11 graphics across three-display Eyefinity. For added punch, the CG8490 is optimized to overclock over 20 percent beyond reference*. Other ROG products slated for exhibition include the 15.6” G53 notebook which has full support for 3D gaming and the new HDMI 1.4 revision, a concept-stage super-motherboard dubbed Immensity that is the first motherboard in the world to pair an onboard GPU with Lucid—a technology that makes it possible to bridge at least two graphics cards regardless of chipset or vendor—and ARES, one of the world’s most powerful desktop graphics cards, with total gaming muscle in the form of twin Radeon 5870 cores, 4GB GDDR5 and massive cooling.

Elevating Motherboards and Graphics Cards beyond the Norm with Exclusive Innovations
ASUS will be demonstrating its latest performance and efficiency-enhancing motherboard technologies—Turbo Unlocker and Dual Intelligent Processors—on the Computex show floor. Turbo Unlocker optimizes the CPU ratios of the latest Unlocked Intel® Core™ and AMD Black Edition processors, and boosts performance whenever added workload handling is needed for better multitasking media-intensive tasks. Dual Intelligent Processors, on the other hand, leverages ASUS’ exclusive TPU (TurboV Processing Unit) and EPU (Energy Processing Unit) in a dual-processing architecture that eases system loads while maximizing power efficiency across the board.

Not content with trailblazing in motherboards, ASUS’ value-added innovations also extend to graphics cards. The new ENGTX400 series graphics cards from ASUS, which are based on NVIDIA’s GeForce 400 series technology—formerly known as Fermi—will be showcased during Computex as well. The ample power of these DX11 cards is harnessed to its full potential—and beyond—by exclusive ASUS technologies such as Voltage Tweak that speeds up the GPU by as much as 50%, and Splendid HD that intelligently improves the color accuracy, contrast ratio and sharpness of images.

Taking Entertainment into a New Dimension with 3D and Multimedia Products
ASUS has developed a diverse range of multimedia products with the goal of taking the complexity out of digital media consumption—making it as readily accessible, user-friendly and pleasurable as possible. The latest and finest of these are now on show at Computex 2010. The ASUS EeeTop PC ET 24'' is a svelte all-in-one desktop PC and home theater replacement with USB 3.0 connectivity and 3D capabilities** that features ASUS SonicMaster technology for vastly improved sound reproduction. Also capable of delivering instant 3D gratification is the ASUS BW-12B1LT—the world’s fastest 12X Blu-ray writer—which instantly converts 2D 720p movies to 3D with just one click. Compelling 3D images from the BW-12B1LT are best viewed on the ASUS VG236H 3D LCD monitor which boasts a 120Hz double-speed, 2ms refresh rate. Making its debut as well is the pocket-sized ASUS Eee Media player, which offers the easiest way for users to search for, download and view multimedia on big screen TVs. It features full web browsing and peer-to-peer capabilities, and consumes very little power (below 10W with the hard disk drive plugged in), making it ideal for downloading large media files.

Enabling a Greener Life with ASUS Eco-products
Consumers aspiring to lead green lifestyles will find it easier than ever with ASUS U Series Bamboo Collection notebooks and Designo Series LED monitors. The new bamboo notebooks feature smoky brown bamboo exteriors, making users feel closer to nature while reducing plastics use. The bamboo elements juxtapose with brushed aluminum surfaces, forming a cohesive design that is both elegant and light.

ASUS understands that when it comes to power, less is more. As such, it is phasing in mercury-free LED technology into its monitor and notebook product lines. With a full line-up ranging from 20 to 24 inches, ASUS’ ultra-slim Designo Series LED monitors use up to 45 percent less power than LCD monitors—equating to 37.2kWh and 23.6kg of CO2 annually.

As part of its commitment to the environment, ASUS has also developed SEA (Smart Energy in Action), a green solution that enables users to easily measure, monitor and analyze their energy consumption at home. ASUS SEA automatically uploads the collected data to a website, where users can study them in detail and trade tips on how to lower their energy use. And since the data is hosted on the cloud, users will be able to access the information wherever they are.

ASUS and Lamborghini Create New Legends
ASUS and supercar manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini have partnered once again, and the fruits of their labor—the ASUS-LAMBORGHINI VX7 and ASUS-LAMBORGHINI VX6—will be making their roaring debut at Computex. The VX7 delivers extreme graphics and processing power that will satisfy hardcore gamers and enthusiasts, while the VX6 produces audio fit for the most discerning audiophiles through its Bang & Olufsen ICEpower® sound system. The ASUS-LAMBORGHINI VX Series—experience power and desire at their most unbridled.
